What started with an old Nissan van has transformed into a fleet of over 400 pieces of equipment.
Liftech was founded in 1991by Gary and Gail Pope when they purchased a second-hand Nissan. Gary, an experienced diesel mechanic, performed on-site repairs to forklifts and other heavy access equipment from the back of his ‘new’ van. Soon after, more mechanics were employed, before a factory was leased as our base for major repairs.
In 1994, we bought our first forklift for hiring out to customers on short-term and long-term contracts – and so the Liftech that we know and love today was born. Over the next two decades, our fleet expanded to include scissors and boom lifts, as well as delivery trucks for door-to-door transportation.
In 2014, Gary and Gail decided it was time to push Liftech to the next level. Our new facility in Dandenong South was set across 6000 square metres of land and included a purpose-built factory, designed from the ground up to make our day-to-day operations safer and more efficient.
Our new facility has everything we could need a fully equipped workshop, parts departments, spray booth, under-cover machine storage, wash bay, ten-ton overhead crane, drive around driveway & yard.
At Liftech, we’re proud to be living our vision every day! We have 12 transportation vehicles, over 400 pieces of hire equipment, and employ 14 talented and passionate team members. Our access equipment is used by hundreds of customers across every industry, every day – all over greater Melbourne and country Victoria. We’ve made it our mission to go above and beyond to successfully support our customers.
